Back-to-School Joy in Tiko, Cameroon: A Heartwarming Campaign to Remember
From August 27th to 29th, 2024, the heart of Likomba, Tiko in Southwest Cameroon was filled with laughter, gratitude, and joy as Children’s Arc hosted its highly anticipated Back-to-School Campaign. The event brought together dozens of children and their families to receive free school supplies—and much more.
The three-day campaign was more than just a distribution event—it was a celebration of hope and a reminder that every child deserves the tools and encouragement to learn and succeed. Thanks to our generous donors and volunteers, hundreds of school essentials were distributed, including:
Notebooks
Pencils and pens
Erasers and rulers
Backpacks
Drawing and activity books
Children lined up with excitement as they received their items, many of them for the first time. With bright smiles, they clutched their new notebooks and proudly waved colorful drawings in the air.
But the highlight of the campaign wasn't just the supplies—it was the spirit of the children. As music filled the air, the kids sang, danced, and even performed joyful chants thanking the Children’s Arc team. Their energy lit up the community, turning a simple school supply drive into an unforgettable moment of unity and celebration.
Parents also expressed deep appreciation, many sharing how much of a burden had been lifted as the new school year approached. For families already struggling with daily needs, this campaign made all the difference.
